Job Summary:
We are seeking an adaptable and tech-savvy Computer Teacher to deliver high-quality IT and Computer Science education across both physical classrooms and virtual learning platforms. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable managing a physical computer lab and keeping students engaged through screen-sharing, digital whiteboards, and online learning management systems (LMS).
Key Responsibilities:
Hybrid Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:
- Conduct engaging computer science lessons for students in physical classrooms as well as live online sessions (via Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams, etc.).
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit both in-person and remote learning environments.
- Teach a comprehensive curriculum that includes basic computer fundamentals, MS Office, internet safety, and foundational coding (e.g., Scratch, HTML, Python).
Online Classroom Management:
- Create and manage virtual classrooms using platforms like Google Classroom or an internal LMS.
- Utilize digital engagement tools (interactive whiteboards, polls, screen sharing) to maintain student interest during online classes.
- Record online sessions (if required) and upload study materials, assignments, and notes to the student portal.
Offline Lab Management:
- Oversee the physical computer lab during offline classes, ensuring all hardware, software, and local networks are functioning properly.
- Guide students hands-on during practical lab sessions.
Assessment & Student Support:
- Design and conduct digital assessments, online quizzes, and offline practical exams.
- Provide technical support to students facing issues with joining online classes or submitting digital assignments.
- Track student attendance and academic progress across both modes of learning.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BCA, MCA, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum [1-3] years of teaching experience, with at least [6 months – 1 year] of experience conducting live online classes.
- Certification: B.Ed. or relevant teaching certification is a plus [Remove if not applicable].
Key Skills:
- Virtual Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Meet, Teams) and LMS platforms.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Windows/macOS, MS Office suite, basic coding, and troubleshooting minor hardware/software issues.
- Digital Communication: Clear and articulate voice for online teaching, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply over a screen.
- Adaptability: Ability to smoothly transition between offline chalk-and-board/lab teaching and online virtual instruction.
- Classroom Control: Effective classroom management skills to handle distractions in both physical and remote environments.
